Opening Convocation

Opening Convocation is an important ceremony that marks the beginning of our academic year. It is a moment when we all come together in excitement and celebration. This year, due to COVID-19, it has been reimagined virtually. We have also included the Academy in the program this year as we could think of no better way to welcome the Academy to its new home!
Salem Sets the Stage

Salem is excited to partner with the Women Take the Stage concert and celebration of the formal adoption of the 19th Amendment to the United States Constitution which took place 100 years ago. As a pioneer in the education and empowerment of women and girls, Salem Academy and College is eager to commemorate this important date in American history. Salem’s virtual pre-event, Salem Sets the Stage, will feature Salem community members’ stories of the importance of the vote and of women’s education as we celebrate this milestone toward equality.
Women Take the Stage

Women Take the Stage commemorates the centennial of the 19th Amendment by amplifying women’s voices in order to get more people to vote; support free, fair and safe elections; and increase the number of women in elected office. The event will feature speakers and musicians who will share a virtual stage for inspiration, entertainment and voting action (listing of speakers and performers on their website). Please join this event at 9:00 pm by connecting to the Women Take the Stage website or YouTube.
