Salem READY, Salem STRONG
The Salem Ready, Salem Strong section of our website is the source for all information about our current health and safety policies and protocols during the COVID-19 pandemic and return to campus plans for the 2021-2022 academic year. Please review the contents of this site fully and be prepared to follow our protocols for a safe return to campus.
We are committed to creating the best possible experience that we can for Salem campus members during the COVID-19 pandemic. Our COVID-19 Task Force, in collaboration with senior leadership and student leaders, faculty, and staff across campus, local public health officials, and medical consultants, have been working diligently to develop a plan for the 2021-2022 academic year. The plan focuses on how we will return to campus at this stage of the pandemic while providing for our safety and wellbeing. This important work has been ongoing since the COVID-19 pandemic started and will continue until it concludes.
The success of our plan depends on all of us committing to follow these Salem Ready, Salem Strong policies and working together to combat the challenges posed by COVID-19. As part of this commitment, students, faculty, and staff joining Salem for the 2021-2022 academic year will be required to review and sign our “We are Salem – 2021–2022 Campus Compact,” which describes the health and safety measures we must undertake to protect one another on campus and in our community. Campus members must sign the Compact by August 1, 2021, and should do so by clicking on the link provided and electronically adding their name to the pledge.
As the COVID-19 pandemic continues to evolve, please check this site regularly for updates. Details may be added and adjustments made throughout the summer and fall based on guidance from public health officials and changing conditions.
We look forward to welcoming you back to campus soon. Together, we are #SalemStrong!
