This Fall is Filled with Salem Academy and College Socials!

There are several upcoming opportunities for Salem Academy and College graduates to get together, have some fun and learn more about what’s happening at Salem. Our first Salem Social of the season will take place at Black Mountain Chocolate in Winston-Salem on Thursday, September 15 from 6 to 8 p.m. Advanced registration has closed, but walk ups are welcome!

If you haven’t been to Black Mountain Chocolate, you’re in for a treat.  It’s located just a short distance from Salem’s campus on the lower level of Bailey Power Plant (450 North Patterson Avenue). We hope to see plenty of Salem alumnae at Black Mountain Chocolate for what promises to be a fun-filled, informative evening for all who attend.

Following this week’s event, additional alumnae events are on the horizon in Winston-Salem.  You won’t want to miss All Roads Lead to Salem, a new tradition, which will take place Friday, September 30 and Saturday, October 1. On Friday, you can join members of the Salem community to recreate the last leg of the historic Journey to Salem from Bethabara to Salem Square from 2 to 5 p.m. There’s also a chance to participate in a campus-wide service project from 1 to 8 p.m. and a Block Party from 5 to 8 p.m. On Saturday, a fun-filled campus cookout will take place from noon until 2 p.m. prior to the Academy’s Purple and Gold Competition (we know alumnae are fiercely loyal to their color) at 2 p.m. and the Salem College soccer game at 3 p.m.

Additional Salem Socials will take place in other cities, beginning with an event in Raleigh, N.C. on Tuesday, October 11 from 6 to 8 p.m.; in Charlotte, N.C. on Wednesday, October 19 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Pilot Brewing and in Washington, D.C. on Tuesday, October 25 from 6 to 8 p.m. The final Salem Social this fall will be in Greensboro. N.C. on Thursday, November 3 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Tasting Room.
