This month, 11 Academy students attended the FIRST Tech Challenge Kickoff held at NC A&T State University in Greensboro. FIRST Tech Challenge is a program that encourages students to design, build and program robots to complete in a challenge activity.

Salem Academy Theatre presents “Twelve Angry Women,” by Reginald Rose, adapted by Sherman Sergel, Thursday-Saturday, Nov. 14-16, at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday, Nov. 17, at 2 p.m. in the Drama Workshop of Elberson Fine Arts Center. Admission is free.

In honor of the 100th anniversary of Helen Keller’s visit to Salem Academy in 1913, the school hosted an event in conjunction with The Blind Side program facilitated Industries for the Blind.

Members of the Salem Academy Robotics Team volunteered at the First Lego League (FLL) Robot Run held at Atkins Academic and Technology High School. FLL is a robotics program designed for middle school age students.
