Joel Zendel

As a native of Potomac, Maryland, he is a graduate of the University of Maryland-College Park with a Bachelor's in Kinesiology, where he was a member of club swim team, and a graduate of the University of Texas-Austin with a Masters in Sports Management. He moved to Winston-Salem in 2007 where he oversaw the William G. White Jr. Family YMCA Youth Sports Program for 10 years. In 2017, he transitioned to working at Forsyth Country Day School overseeing After School, After School Enrichment and being a Lower School PE Intern. Coach Zendel currently works full-time as EC Resource Teacher and Assistant JV Girls Lacrosse Coach at RJ Reynolds High School.   During the summer he is an Assistant Coach for the Brookberry Farm Fins Swim Team. He has previous coaching experience coaching youth girls lacrosse in Winston Salem and in Israel.

He currently resides in Winston-Salem with his wife Jordan, his son Banks, and his two dogs, Molly and Raleigh.
