Ned Edwards earned a Bachelor of Arts in Religion and Psychology from The College of Wooster, a Master of Divinity from Yale University, and a Doctor of Ministry from Hartford Seminary. He served the congregation of First Church of Christ in Farmington, Connecticut from 1994-2010 before becoming part of the Chatham Hall community in 2010. Dr. Edwards has held a variety of roles at Chatham Hall, an all-girls college preparatory boarding school in Chatham, Virginia, including Chaplain and Dean of Faculty. He currently serves as Assistant Head for Institutional Operations and Strategic Initiatives. Dr. Edwards has written and presented extensively on brain-based research and adolescent girls.
Laura Clay earned a Bachelor of Arts in History and Social Studies Education from Pfeiffer University and a Master of Arts in Liberal Studies from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. She currently serves as Dean of Students at St. Andrew’s-Sewanee School, a co-ed college preparatory boarding school in Sewanee, Tennessee, a position she has held since July 2016. Before moving to Tennessee, Ms. Clay was an active part of the Winston-Salem educational community, serving as a teacher and coach at Reagan High School from 2007-2012 and 2015-2016 and at Salem Academy from 2012-2015. Ms. Clay taught in the history department and coached field hockey during her time at the Academy, and she eloquently expressed her enthusiasm about returning to Salem Academy in her letter of interest to the search committee.
Carol Killebrew graduated from Girls Preparatory School in Chattanooga, Tennessee and returned to the school not long after her graduation from Sewanee: The University of the South to begin her career as an educator. Ms. Killebrew served Girls Preparatory School as a teacher and coach and, for a period of time, as Director of Gift Planning. She earned a Master of Arts in English from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga and was both a Fulbright Scholar and a National Endowment for the Humanities fellow. In 2014, Ms. Killebrew assumed the role of Principal at The Ursuline School New Rochelle in New York, an independent, all-girls, Catholic, college preparatory school. During her tenure at The Ursuline School, Ms. Killebrew has implemented meaningful change in many areas of school life.
