Emergency Notification System
Keeping you Informed
Salem Academy’s emergency notification system is designed to quickly and efficiently inform the community of any significant emergency or crisis. Should a situation occur, the message will be broadcast in multiple ways:
Outdoors Emergency Alert System
An outdoor siren and prerecorded message will alert the campus of any weather-related or environmental emergencies. Speakers are located in the physical plant building and on the roof of the Fine Arts Center. The system is tested at the beginning of each semester.
Telephone & Text Messaging Systems
Opt-in to this system in order to receive emergency alerts on your cell phone. In addition, all campus telephone lines will be notified. Students and parents will receive an Emergency Notification Opt-In form at the start of the semester.
Website & Emails
Salem will post emergency messages to the homepage of the website and send out email alerts.
