Gloria Frost

Gloria Frost joined the Academy staff as librarian in October of 1993 after serving eight years as the non-print cataloguer with Wake Forest University’s Z. Smith Reynolds Library. She graduated from North Carolina A & T State University with a M.S. in Education and went on to complete a master’s in Library Science at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. Ms. Frost served solely as librarian 1993-2008, when she joined the Academy house staff and later assumed the role of director of residence life in 2012. Her current title as part of the Residential Life team is  Academy Area Coordinator Director and she also serves as the Library Liaison for the Academy.  Her top priority is the well-being of all students, but particularly the boarding students that she resides with in Babcock Hall. She has served as a chaperone on Jan Term trips to Spain, Australia, New Zealand, Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. Ms. Frost’s favorite past-times are attending sporting events, working at her church, spending time with her granddaughter and family get-togethers.
