Track at Forsyth Country Day School
The Sabers had an eventful day at their last track meet of the regular season Thursday. The jumpers had several personal records from Jasmine Robinson in the triple jump and Aaliyah Brown and Taylor Marshall in the long jump.
Prayers go out to sophomore Favor Idika, who dislocated her ankle while high jumping. The team showed major support for their fellow Saber. Word is she is recovering well. The team and coaches wish her a very speedy, and more importantly, successful recovery.
The sprinters showed up well in their events, also, with personal records in the 100m dash from Kiya Norman and the 4x400 relay team running well.
The distance ladies had great showings from the 4x800 team and Lillian Giles in the 800.
The throws squad had great showings from Lucy Calaway winning the discus with a personal record throw, Makenna Hartwich placing third, and Uche Okoh winning the shot put.
Certainly, this has been an amazing season, and the coaches cannot wait to show up and show out in less than two weeks at the TAC Conference Championships, happening on Tuesday, May 9th at American Hebrew Academy. Go Sabers!
