Welcome to the Salem Parents’ Association!
Andy and I want to take this opportunity to welcome you to Salem Academy's 241st academic year. Our daughter, Cate, entered her freshman year at the Academy in 2010 where academic excellence in a close-knit community of teachers and staff is still the norm. What we appreciate about Salem is it continues to offer small classes and individual attention emphasizing the development of self discipline, self confidence and self esteem. Salem provides opportunities for service and leadership in the classroom, through student organizations, and activities. Our daughters, upon graduation, are prepared to be successful wherever their life journey takes them.
The Parents' Association was created with the goal of enhancing the Salem experience for your daughters and fostering a sense of community among parents. We are honored to head up this fabulous group of families and are looking forward to meeting everyone! The diversity represented among both parents and students is something we want to capitalize on through various opportunities both on campus and in our communities. Over Parents' Weekend you will be introduced to various means of supporting the Academy whether financially through the Parents Excellence Fund which provides discretionary funding and is vital to the operations of the institution, helping with our fall 2013 Auction or providing hospitality to faculty and staff, to name a few.
Please contact us or the Academy if you have any questions or ideas that would enhance the overall experience of life on our campus. We look forward to working with each of you in the coming months!
