English Position
Salem Academy is seeking a full-time English teacher beginning in the 2013-2014 school year. The candidate will teach English III, a junior-level survey of American literature, and English IV, a senior-level elective. Priority will be given to candidates who hold a Master's degree in English The ideal candidate will have at least two years of successful teaching experience at the high school level. The candidate will also support the school's mission by participating in all facets of campus life, including sponsoring extracurricular activities and student organizations. Development Officer, Major and Planned Giving
The Development Officer, Major and Planned Giving is responsible for the identification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of major and planned gift donors and prospects for Salem Academy and College. As a primary, front-line fundraiser, this position manages relationships with an extensive prospect portfolio and spends a minimum of 50% time on out of office, face-to-face contacts. The Development Officer plays an integral role in current major projects that enhance and expand the opportunities that Salem Academy and College provide for its students, faculty, staff, alumnae and community beyond the Salem campus.
A bachelor’s degree is required. Position requires three to five years of successful experience in major and planned gift fundraising, preferably in higher education. A full position description is available here.
