For more than 237 years the Salem Academy experience has been rooted in a fundamental respect for women and a belief in the value of education.

Too often, the prevailing culture compels young women to look and act in certain ways. The fact that each girl has her own set of unique, God-given, gifts and talents is often lost in that push to ride the cultural tidal wave. Our all-girls atmosphere provides a safe haven for our students to focus on becoming self-directed, confident, and well-educated young women able to lead life on their own terms.
