**Scholarships for new students are still available for the 2010-2011 school year! Qualified day students can receive grants of $3,000 to $10,000, and boarding students from $5,000 to $20,000. Academic Scholarships
Salem
Academy has a limited number of academic scholarships to be awarded
each year. Students are automatically considered for these scholarships
when they make application to Salem Academy. There is no separate form
to complete in advance. Scholarships are based on a student's academic
record, her standardized (SSAT) test scores and her activities.
Financial Aid
The
primary responsibility for financing one's education rests with the
student's family. We realize the various financial demands that
families face today, and we will work closely with each family to find
the best possible solution.
- In order to be considered for
need-based financial aid, your family will need to complete the Parent
Financial Statement form (PFS) and send it to School and Student
Service for Financial Aid (SSS) in Princeton, NJ after January 1, 2010.
The PFS form can be found online. We encourage families to use the online option for filing their
financal aid paperwork because SSS is able to process financial aid
application in a very timely manner. If a parent would like a paper
form, one can be obtained through the Admissions Office. Our school
code for SSS is 7048.
- You must also send a copy of your 2009
tax return to the Office of Admissions at Salem Academy. Upon receipt
of both of these items, the Financial Aid Committee will evaluate the
needs of your family and make a financial aid award. Financial aid is
awarded on a first come first served basis. Financial aid awards are
reevaluated each year. Each family must file a new PFS form each spring.
